What parents say
Settling in, at your child's pace.
There's no "right" timescale; some children settle in days, others take a few weeks. We tailor everything to your child.
Session 1
Getting to know each other
Come in together, meet your Room Leader and fill in your child's “All About Me” profile.
Sessions 2 & 3
Building confidence
Your child spends short spells with us on their own, exploring at their own pace.
Week 6
Settling-in review
We meet to celebrate achievements and agree next steps together.

Questions parents ask
What if my child cries when I leave?+
It's completely normal. Our team will comfort and reassure your child, and most soon become absorbed in play. We'll always contact you if we have concerns, and you're welcome to phone for an update any time.
Can my child bring a comforter?+
Yes, comforters, blankets, dummies or soft toys really help, especially when settling and at sleep times.
What should my child wear?+
Comfy clothes that can get messy! We're outdoors every day, so please send a coat, hat, wellies and spare clothes, all labelled.
Someone else is collecting. What do I do?+
Let us know in advance on Famly or by phone. We'll ask for their name and may use a photo and password before your child leaves.
My child has been given Calpol. Can they come in?+
If non-prescribed pain relief was given after 6pm the evening before, please keep your child at home until they're symptom-free. Prescribed medicines need a consent form and 24 hours at home first.
What happens if my child becomes ill?+
We'll call you straight away and may ask you to collect them. We follow UK Health Security Agency guidance on when children can return.
When are nappies changed?+
At 9am, 11am, 2pm and 4pm, and whenever needed. Please send enough nappies, wipes and spare clothes each day.
